The consumerist society makes the consumer believe that the choice is right cognitively, by offering reassurances: authority of experts, demands exceeding supply, new and improved product, no irreversable consequences, backed by lifetime single owner warranty. Value propositions are used by companies in their marketing strategy to target potential customers as to why a particular product will add more value or solve a problem better than similar offerings.
